Rather than stand by and watch the crisis in Eastern Europe unfold, WeShield wanted to be part of the solution. As a result of the conflict in Ukraine, WeShield reached out to other organizations to create a collective, UkraineFriends.org.

The mission of UkraineFriends.org is to provide a collaborative humanitarian response to this country under siege. The organization’s members come from diverse backgrounds and ethnicities. They have teamed up to ensure the rapid delivery of humanitarian aid to the most vulnerable and innocent people in Ukraine.

Our Chief Revenue Officer, Roman Vintfeld’s grandparents came to America after fleeing Soviet persecution. Over 1,200 Jewish men, women, and children were rescued from the shifting borders of the region during the Holocaust by his wife Danielle’s grandparents, the founders of The Bielski Partisans.

Having raised funds for charities before, they moved to action immediately and donated lifesaving personal protective equipment to healthcare and senior living facilities along with our CEO Michael Sinesky.

Irina Sinensky, Michael’s wife, was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1989. Locally, they are known for their disaster relief efforts after forming the nonprofit Friends of Rockaway to assist in the cleanup and recovery after Hurricane Sandy hit New York.

UkraineFriends.org partners with organizations to raise money to purchase emergency medical supplies, Individual First-Aid Kits (IFAK), and support medical personnel working on the frontlines.

WeShield is proud of UkraineFriends.org and hopes you are also moved to do more. To learn more about the UkraineFriends and make a donation, please visit the website.  For the most up-to-date information follow us on TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
